Video: Indigenous women forcibly displaced from their land

Miércoles 28 de septiembre de 2011, de Peace Brigades International

INTERVIEW - Iria and her community had lived their whole life in the Santa Rosa de Guayacán reservation, located at the San Juan and Bajo Calima river basins in the Valle del Cauca department. One year ago, August 4, 2010, they had to leave forcibly their reservation because of multiple death threats. Iria was now interviewed by Peace Brigades International and explains to them the serious consequences they have suffered during their stay in the port city of Buenaventura and why they decided recently to return in August 2011 to their Santa Rosa de Guayacán reservation, exactly one year after their forced displacement.
